Where do you leave your handgun at night ? Is it inside a safe, inside a cupboard ? Difficult to access in the dark ? With a clumsy opening mechanism ? Or worse still, with a combination lock ? Will you be able to get hold of it in time, when you really need it?

Or, do you take your handgun out at night, and leave it under a pillow ? Or under your bed ? Where inevitably, it will sometimes be forgotten, and fall into the hands of your children ? Or a domestic or even a burglar ?

With these problems in mind Xymech developed a handgun safe that can be opened by means of a transmitter, similar to a car alarm or gate opener. At night, this remote can be kept next to the user's bedside. When alerted, a single press of the button will SILENTLY AND INSTANTLY open the safe door, with ready access to the weapon inside.

The safe is ultra slim, and with aesthetically pleasing design. It can be mounted unobtrusively anywhere in the bedroom, even just above the skirting board. Or, it can be recessed into the wall, for a flush fit. In spite of its small dimensions, it houses all commonly used pistols and revolvers, and in addition has ample space for ammunition and magazines.

COMPLETE PEACE OF MIND

The electronic lock uses state of the art CODEX encrypted rolling code technology, impossible to open even with sophisticated code grabbers or scanners. No duplicate remote can be used without re-programming the receiver, and for this reason the electronic lock also has a mechanical override cam lock. The sturdy locking mechanism and design of the 6mm steel door ensure that the safe is impossible to open with any hand tool or crowbar. and for additional security, the safe has a robust 7-lever key lock that can be locked when leaving home for extended periods.

Power to the transmitter is supplied from a wall socket, but the safe also has an internal power supply that will ensure faultless operation for at least 48 hours in case of a power failure. The battery voltage is continually monitored and a warning light will go on when the batteries need replacement.
